We’re looking for 12 fearless wordsmiths to battle it out on stage.

Compete for: £100 cash and a place at The Chichester Festival.

Poets must be available to perform on 28th May, 7:30pm at The Wedgewood Rooms.

SLAM RULES & TERMS

• Original work only

• 3 minutes + 10 seconds grace (go over = points deducted)

• No props, costumes, or musical instruments

• Three rounds:

– Round 1:

All poets perform

– 6 poets progress

– Round 2:

3 poets progress to the Final

• A different poem must be performed in each round

• Scored by judges + audience reaction

• Judges’ decisions are final

• Marked on content + performance

• One champion wins £100
